We offer a visual, non-qualified checking and monitoring service which you watch and hear live or view in recorded format, and basic maintenance services. Our services are NOT intended to be an alternative to those of a certified surveyor or qualified contractor, nor will we ever offer to refer you to any trade.

With the opportunity to be on a live audio/video stream with us, while we are in action, or to review our video inspections in your own time, you’ll be in control and can decide if, when and who will be servicing your boat.

Exercise and test battery, electric, engine, transmission and water systems

SAILS: we check general condition and smooth operation
RIGGING: we check condition and smooth operation of winches
ENGINE and TRANSMISSION: we check for smooth operation
BATTERY and ELECTRICAL: we check battery charge & fluids, electrical systems proper operation
PLUMBING and WATER systems: we exercise the systems and seacocks to verify proper operation

We wear a wi-fi camera. You can download an app on your phone to see what we see and hear what we hear during the inspection.

We don’t typically do in-depth diagnosing or troubleshooting, but we will help identify problems so you can take further steps with qualified technicians or contractors.

We can purchase consumables for you and have them on hand at the boat. We generally require that you make the purchase online or over the phone with your favorite retailer.

We are more than happy to pass any savings through to our Clients when reasonable, for example, if more Clients are at the same marina, making our travel to the site work for more than one Client.

We can make arrangements to be present on your behalf when you need someone on site. Our scope will be limited to allowing access and witnessing the event, as we cannot take the added responsibility or liability of being more actively involved.

We offer to check on mooring lines and fenders for wear or for any issue of note, and can arrange for extra spring lines to be put in place.
